Jewellery Workshop

A 2.5hr fun and relaxed workshop with Jo from HEKA Jewellery, learning the tools and techniques of wax carving for jewellery making. All materials provided including tea and cake!

There is no design or making experience necessary, you will be guided through the whole process including design inspiration if you are unsure what you would like to make. You will be learning how to carve wax away from a block and build wax up into a sculptural design. (The workshop is not suited to highly delicate design ideas) Come along with an open mind and willingness to experiment!

It's the perfect intro to jewellery making for anyone age 16+

Your wax model can be cast + finished afterwards by Jo if you choose, for an additional £35 plus the silver or gold cost calculated by the weight of your piece on the day. Your piece can then be collected from Grace and Glow. The average total cost including the workshop fee, finishing and metal cost is usually between £85-£95 depending on the size of your piece

A graduate of the Birmingham School of Jewellery, Jo has been a bespoke fine jewellery designer for many years whilst designing and selling her own collections internationally and teaching workshops at various venues and festivals. 'I love teaching this accessible and enjoyable intro to jewellery making, and seeing what students come up with! Previous students have described it as meditative and relaxing as your mind naturally calms when you are highly focussed on the carving

£45 for the workshop plus silver and casting fees.
