Hatha Flow with Emily
Hello, I'm Emily!
Yoga has been an important part of my life for many years. Regular yoga asana practice has not only had a positive effect on me physically: improving strength and flexibility, but has also had a beneficial impact on my mental and spiritual well being.
After having children and further appreciating the positive impact of yoga on my body and mind, I decided to delve deeper into this fascinating subject and train as a yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga.
During my 300 hour teaching training, I was blown away by the enormity of the subject and my love for yoga grew even more. I now feel hugely lucky and privileged to be able to share my knowledge with others.
In a typical Hatha yoga class with me, we explore a set of physical postures through embodied, creative movement and static holds with emphasis on the breath throughout. Classes end with a guided relaxation. Classes follow a theme so that we can make connections and build on the movement and breathing practices as we journey through a series of classes together.
Yoga is for everybody! There is no pre-requisite to be flexible - really it's true! Everyone can benefit from yoga in some way.
Inclusivity is extremely important to me so I teach in a way that is accessible and adaptable.
Poses are taught in stages and options are always given within a pose to help you explore what's best for your body. You will always be encouraged to take what you need and do what feels good.
