Block Printing Workshop
This is a creative workshop using the ancient craft of block printing, while also giving you plenty of opportunity to experiment.
The workshop is run by Jocasta who has been in the textiles industry for nearly 30 years, having originally graduated with an MA degree in textile design from Central Saint Martins. She has worked with some of the leading fashion designers in the industry including Gucci, Givenchy, Phillip Lim along with well known brands such as Boden and Anthropologie.
What does the day entail?
You will learn about pattern making, and will spend some time experimenting with a choice of vintage and geometric blocks to create their own unique pattern. After learning printing techniques and choosing colours they will hand print their own unique pattern on a 100% cotton canvas cushion cover to take home and treasure. So come along, bring a friend or partner for a memorable morning and let your creative side shine.
What will I need to bring?
Apron or clothes you don't mind getting messy.
